Blooper:

After Beaver’s letter appears in the paper Beaver tries to take it to school for a current event so no one can read it. That morning June thought Beaver had current events on Friday so we know it’s not Friday. Later during dinner same day Mike and Kevin come to the Cleaver house saying because of the letter they aren’t allowed out on school nights. So why are they both out?

Early dinner, and it's still daytime?

I kinda wonder why they come together, like Gilbert and Alan did when they come back to the Cleavers' for a lecture after they called Don Drysdale. Does one call the other and say, hey, my dad is sending me over to the Cleavers', is your dad sending you, too? If so, let's go together.

I thought of that too. Why do they both show up together. That happens a lot. It was really funny to see Gilbert and Alan show up to both get punished together. Like when Eddie and Lumpy show up together.

You would never believe that Mike, Tim Mathieson, would become relatively well known especially in Animal House. He wasn't much of an actor but neither was Jerry at that point.

I liked Alan well enough as one of Beaver's later friends, but Mike and Kevin were bland.

Tim Mathieson was also the voice of Johnny Quest.

The other one to go on to being well known was Harry Shearer who was in the pilot episode of LITB (It's A Small World)

They were always getting sent to The Cleavers for punishment, didn't Beaver or Wally ever get into the kind of trouble they go sent to one of the other kids houses?

Unless I'm wrong, I think Beaver mentioned Larry being home sick in a post-Larry episode.

You're right, I think. That was a few episodes after Rusty's last show, IIRC.

Wasn't Ryan O'Neal in the first episode of season 5? I think he played the guy who was married, and of course June was worried that her baby would get ideas.

Interesting about Jonny Quest...never knew that!

Ryan O’Neal was just starting his career and did Peyton Place. He went on to be the most famous of everyone on the show. Major movie actor like Paper Moon, Barry Lyndon, all those Barbra Streisand duds and let’s not forget the forgettable Love Story. He was always in the tabloids.
