Chances are if you grew up in the 80's you probably had a stuffed toy called Popples which became popular toys in the 80's that also had a cartoon series based on them. Part of the popular Kideo TV cartoon block Popples told about the adventures of the Popples characters going on fun adventures with their owners a girl named Bonnie and her brother Billy and just like their stuffed toy counterparts the Popples made their cute popping sound when they opened up. Produced by DIC Animation Popples was such a cute cartoon and Popples toys have been reintroduced this year with a new cartoon series as well

There was also a live action television special that aired before the animated series release.

There was also an attempt to revive the popples back around 2005-6, the stuffed animals were brought back and packed with a dvd containing a selection of episodes from the animated series.
