Opinions...

The priest: What can I say? If the allegations are true, it's wrong and appalling, and he should be prosecuted not protected by the church.

The gunman: Violence is inexcusable. Regardless of whether or not he was abused, the shooting was wrong. He, too, must face the consequences.

Too bad he let his pain and anger get the best of him.

Not that the priest didn't deserve to be severely punished...however, is a life in prison worth the retribution?
