Default An Abrupt End

In my most recent thread, I mentioned the fact that, once upon a time, "Gimme a Break!" was syndicated at three o'clock weekday mornings on the W.B. 11. A show called "Mom" is now on in that time slot. A bunch of stuff has happened since the days when "Gimme a Break!" was on. In addition to "Family Guy" being used as an occasional filler, this time slot was first filled by "America's Court" and this was followed by "Celebrity Name Game". If my memory is correct, "Celebrity Name Game" lasted over a year in this half-hour. I believe that it has been less than a month since "Mom" took its place. I noticed something about "Celebrity Name Game" that I found to be quite interesting. In addition to it being on at three in the morning, it was also on that channel a at least two other times each weekday as well as several times on Saturday and Sunday. At this point, it does not appear to be on at all! I am very curious as to why it ended so abruptly.

This says Celebrity Name Game was cancelled due to low ratings. David Arquette and Courteney Cox, who were producers, finished out the show's third season, but the ratings were not high enough to keep the show afloat.

Boy, when I saw the words, "an abrupt end", I thought the OP was insinuating that NBC had suddenly cancelled Gimme a Break without ever giving the cast and crew a chance to make a proper series finale.

No, no matter what the question or topic is, the OP mostly puts everything in the Gimme A Break forum.

"Mom" is a pretty good show. Did you ever watch it, smartboy?

The show "Mom" is trash. I can't stand any of the new stuff. As the years progress, our standards for TV get lower and lower.

No, I cannot say as I have ever watched "Mom". Because I am not usually awake at three in the morning, I do not have the option of watching it then. However, if I ever get the chance to watch it at any other time or through any other means, I will be interested in seeing what it is like.
