Question about the episode where the gang gets a "time machine":

In this episode, the gang buys a HUGE "time machine" and they try to carry it up the stairs. Penny tries to go to work but because they are still carrying the machine up the stairwell, she has to climb up to the roof of the building, jump over to the roof of the building, climb down a fire escape and because an Armenian family insisted that she stayed for lunch, she missed a day's pay.

Question: What was stopping Penny from climbing OVER the time machine? She could have done it and that way she would still get to work.

Also, I find it funny how she calls all the men pathetic when she was working as a waitress and all of them are scientists.

Have you ever tried to climb over a time machine in a stairwell? I don't recommend it.
