Spin-offs That Aired on a Different Network from Parent Show - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was wondering to see how many of these are out there since, usually, most spin-offs air on the same network of the parent show.

"grown-ish", spin-off of ABC's "black-ish", will be launching on Freeform January 3rd.

When Buffy moved to UPN, its spin-off, Angel, stayed on the WB. I heard this made doing crossovers more difficult.

"The Good Fight", spin-off of CBS' "The Good Wife", was made for streaming service CBS All Access; though its premiere launched on CBS.

"Fuller House", the sequel/spin-off series of ABC's "Full House", is a Netflix series.

Bionic Woman moved to NBC while its parent show, Six Million Dollar Man, remained on ABC. Richard Anderson (Oscar Goldman) and Martin Brooks (Rudy Welles) played the same roles on both shows, on different networks.

The Joey Bishop Show (NBC) and The Bill Dana Show (NBC) spun off from The Danny Thomas Show (CBS).

You can find a whole lot more examples it you list spinoffs that aired after the original series ended (two of the Brady Bunch spinoffs aired on NBC and CBS, but the original series aired on ABC).

Rock n Roll Jeopardy on VH1 was the spinoff to Syndicated Jeopardy(in which is currently hosted by Alex Trebek)

The Adventures of Super Mario 3 & Super Mario World on NBC were spinoffs to The Super Mario Bros Super Show in Syndication

Diff’rent Strokes last season was on ABC while its spinoff The Facts of Life stayed on NBC.

Girlfriends spinoff The Game started out on CW but later moved to BET.

"Devious Maids", spun from "Desperate Housewives", aired on Lifetime after ABC had passed on it.

The character of Carmen Luna, played by Roselyn Sánchez, appeared on "Housewives'" series finale.

This one actually didn't air, but CBS picked up a pilot of "Clarissa Now" which was spun from Nickelodeon's "Clarissa Explains It All".

CBS passed on the series and the "Clarissa Now" pilot aired a few times on Nickelodeon.
