In the episode where Wally buys that junk of a car at the very end of the episode he and Beaver are talking. Beaver is sitting on the bed and Wally is lying down. Beaver says, "Hey Wally?" Wally says, Ya Beave?" It was so unnatural just start talking no need to get his attention. It reminds of The African Queen when Rose keeps asking Mr. Alnut questions prefacing each one with "Mr. Alnut?" and he says "I'm still here, Miss."

I think there's other examples of that Hey Wally, Yeah Beav stilted dialogue. Most of this is at the end of various episodes. Many times Beaver has the added line, it's neat the way it works.
