In Beaver's Ice Skates, Ward read that the rink had closed yesterday and today. Assuming Whitey and Richard had tried to go that day (yesterday) (it looked like they were all skating every day with their season passes), wouldn't Richard and/or Whitey have told Beaver at school the next day (today) that the rink was closed for repairs?

Yeah you would think so. Since Beaver was spending all his time in the library he would have had to rely on them for an Ice Palace update. Then Beaver could have just come home and say it was closed. Then there was no way for them to find out Beaver was lying. Richard and Whitey should have told him at school. It's like the episode The Mustache when Wally's on vacation from school and grows the mustache and he never even sees Eddie and Lumpy until the first day back.
