Cool Dark Shadows

okay, it's NOT really a sitcom! But, i've come to talk about it...

First of all, I highly recommend this show thriller! Sean Snow (whom I appreciate for bringing this show to my attention) told me about the show about a month ago, and I instantly fell in love with it! All of you out there should definatley give this show a try!

Every Weekday: 10/9 a.m. central, 10:30/9:30 a.m. central

One last thing! I'm very excited to say that I have started my collection of Dark Shadows episodes by purchasing Volume 28 of the 200 volumes out there. Why Volume 28, you ask? Well, in this volume, Victoria goes back to 1795 for the first time, and that's where I want to start watching the show. Of the episodes I've seen, the 1795 episodes have been the best!

Oh yeah, thanx for introducing this show to me Sean! It's the best!

Thumbs up

I love the show myself. I love when they dress in the period clothing.

They're showing Dark Shadows on the Sci-Fi channel here in NY.

That was my favorite part of Dark Shadows as well. I've always been a huge history buff, so I was always interested when they traveled back in time. I was watching it a few months back and they actually travelled forward in time, to the year 1995! I thought it was quite funny how they thought the future would be!!!

Question The Dream Curse

Can someone explain to me about what the dream curse was supposed to do to Barnabas? What was supposed to happen to him after Victoria told him the dream? I kind of missed the last couple of episodes.

Well Barnabas had the dream. Julia sat next to him while he had the dream. In the dream the last door had him opening the door and waking up. Julia & Barnabas thought they had won, and Julia left Barnabas alone. He opened the door and a vampire bat bit him, supposidly making him a vampire ('the point of return' meant going back to the point of being a vampire') Julia brought Willie in. Julia could not stake Barnabas, and neither could Willie, so they buried him and made plans to leave Collinsport and go back to Wyndcliffe where they could both get jobs. Professor Stokes meanwhile has Julia come over to the abandoned cellar where Adam is because he appears dead. Julia pronounces Adam dead, but he starts breathing again. Julia thinks there is some sort of connection and they dig up bArnabas and find he has come back to life because ADam drained him of the vampire affliction.

So Barnabas wont be a vampire no more? What will happen to Adam?

No he will not be a vampire. Adam will be the same as always..he gets the stuff that makes a person a vampire, but it doesn't turn him into one.

I just watched todays episodes and heard the tape that doctor left for Julia. So when Adam dies, Barnabas will become a vampire again. You think if Adam dies, Barnabas would die to, not becoming a vampire. Thank you for telling me about the dream curse.

LOL It didn't look that silly compared to the bat that got Suki Forbes during the 1795/6 episode which aired around two/three months ago. Cassandra needs a lesson in fashion! Her butterfly dress is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggggllllllllllllllllllly. And that day glo green dress isn't far behind in ugliness.

Question Angelique

Why the heck does Angelique want to hurt Barnabas? What did he do to her? Also how did she become a witch and who is that guy that claims to be her brother? I have been busy these past couple of weeks can someone please fill me in on whats going on? Also this soap moves fast, I don't know if its because of 2 episodes a day or the writers were just smarter than the writers of todays soaps.

Hmm well Dark Shadows moves faster in plot during it's episodes then most soaps.

In 1795, Josette duPres and Barnabas Collins were to be married. Arriving with Josette were her father Andre duPres and her aunt, Countess Natalie duPres. Also arriving with them was Angelique Bouchard, a woman of around Josette's age. They have arrived from the island of Martinique. In Martinique, Barnabas once visited before Josette and he got engaged. He had a relationship with Angelique. Angelique turns out to be a witch and sets a curse where Josette and Jeremiah (B's uncle) get married. Angelique sets a spell on B's sister, Sarah, and after she cures her Angelique n Barnabas get married. Barnabas finds that Angelique is a witch and tries to kill her by shooting her. Angelique, thinking she is about to die, sets a vampire curse on Barnabas. Barnabas goes into a fever like state, and it turns out Angelique did not die. She tries to stake Barnabas, but he wakes up and strangles her to death..this was shown in the 1795 storyline which was shown on SCi Fi from Febuary to late April. After Vicki returns to 1968 (she had gone back in time to 1795), Barnabas is cured of his vampirisim (he had been set loose in April of 1967).

Nicholas Blair is a warlock who has helped Cassangelique before. It never says anything else bout him.

No problem at all On Angelique, the answer will sorta be revealed on the 10:30 AM episode, but it's not very clear of what has happeend to her. I believe sometime next week they'll reveal what has become of her.
