On a cd of 70's music I have I discovered a singer named Randy Vanwarmer and he was best known for the song Just When I Needed You Most but after that song became a hit Randy disappeared from the music scene and never released another song again. Whatever happened to Randy Vanwarmer? Did he retire from music or is he still singing today?

He passed away in 2004.

So Randy Vanwarmer is no longer living now? That's a shame because Just When I Needed You Most is such a wonderful ballad and Randy sang it really nice and he should've been a bigger star in the 70's

Yes it is a good song, it was his only top ten hit, reaching #4 on Billboard in 1979. I think he had some success on the country charts in the 1980's. He recorded music and made albums up until the time he passed away. His last album was released in 2003.
