Substitute Father

This one hasn't been on in a while but Wally is in charge and acts like June is completely incompetent while Ward is away. He comes home early to make sure everything is running smoothly and takes charge of Beaver. He acts like June is not able to function without Ward. What was up with that?

Didn't Wally have trouble cutting the roast beef? Surely June could have handled that.

Miss Landers should have insisted that June come down to the school. But even before that Beaver should have gone to her. He could have not told her whatever awful word he said. They shielded June. Oh, don't tell mom she sent the wrong baby picture--she might cry.

Any speculation on the "Word" Beaver used on the other kid that would have caused such a big problem?

Sorry for starting two threads on the same subject. I had no idea. Beaver shouldn't have been afraid to tell June he said a bad word, he wasn't afraid to show the face he made in the class picture. Wonder why she asks Ward what sort of face Beaver made.

Hey in Community Chest Beaver said he'll bring Gilbert to collect, he just burned him by baiting him to make a face.

I don't think anyone cares about two threads. I just remembered we had an idea what Beaver said. I'm just glad it was well-titled and easy to find.
