Caught a Logo airing -- Ick! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I don't get Logo so I haven't been able to see the ODAAT repeats on that channel, but yesterday I happened to catch a couple episodes on there and.....yikes. First of all, the opening theme is sped up. I know Antenna TV speeds it up a little too, but Logo does a much worse job of it.

Secondly, the editing.....wow. I'm not sure if it shows fewer minutes than Antenna does but it certainly doesn't show more. And commercial breaks are injected where none used to be. As a result, you have more breaks than on Antenna, although I'll grant you the breaks themselves seem slightly shorter (and I do admit to liking that it goes straight from the opening credits into the show).

Lastly, I know no one here (myself included) likes the credit crunch, but Logo simply runs the end credits along the bottom of the last scene *while that scene is still playing*. I hated when TV Land started doing this, and now I hate that Logo is doing it. Not only are those credits crunched too, but they go by so fast that if you're looking for who a guest star was or something, you really have to watch when you blink!

So, yeah, the Antenna airings may not be perfect, but if I had to choose between Antenna and Logo, Antenna wins hands-down.

You forgot to mention Logo's seemingly non-stop pop up ads. (If they still do that. It's been awhile for me).

I don't watch much TV anyway, so if I watched, I wouldn't be happy either.

Exactly.

Logo's butchering of old TV shows is a disgrace with 18 1/2-19 mins of actual show.

Too bad Logo is the only way I can watch ODAAT now because Antenna TV is gone from my affiliate.

Long story short - the owner of WBIN 18/50 sold the station for $100 million back to the FCC for Spectrum for Wireless and sold the broadcast licence to Channel 66 for $16 Million which is transmitting 18/50 for now.

WBIN 18/50 is still sorta on the air on 66 but still technically 50.1 - running some of AntennaTV and ODAAT (and Johnny Carson 90 minute shows) are listed as running next Friday and Saturday. Now it's full of alot of infomercials,too.

That's probably what it's going to be for right now. Infomercials and some of Antenna TV.

Logo cuts like 7 minutes of ODAAT out of each ep. They may speed up some scenes, and the theme song, to give you more "episode", but you're basically getting 18-minute episodes of ODAAT on Logo, whereas Antenna airs 22:30-24:00 episodes.

I watch Logo a lot as they have shows I like with Mama's Family, The Facts of Life and One Day at a Time. The endless commercials annoy me. I didn't notice they sped up ODAAT theme. Well, actually, I thought they sped it up sometimes.

I will never watch Logo or Antenna TV. They are both bad in my opinion.

If you want to see a better airing of One Day At A Time you should watch One Day At A Time on FETV and the airings are great and do not feature the speeded up theme song and the annoying credit crunches and One Day At A Time can be seen on FETV weekday mornings at 11AM PT and 11:30 AM PT

LOGO seriously just needs to turn into an all-Golden Girls, Nanny, Married w/Children, Roseanne network again and butcher THOSE instead of how they incredibly butcher ODAAT...oh, well, good thing the DVDs of ODAAT are coming out --same with Alice!
