Keke Palmer To Star in "Scream" Season 3
Keke Palmer to Star in "Scream" Season 3 (Exclusive)
by Lesley Goldberg Sept. 13, 2017 MTV is rounding out its retooled cast for season three of the rebooted anthology drama "Scream". Joining the cast are Keke Palmer (Scream Queens) as well as RJ Cyler (I'm Dying Up Here), Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Jessica Sula (Recovery Road, Skins) and Giullian Yao Gioiello (Julie's Greenroom). Season three revolves around Deion Elliot, a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends. Cyler will star as Deion, who hopes to secure a college football scholarship that will take him far away from Atlanta, a plan that seems destined to fail when he becomes the target of a masked killer with ties to his past. Whigham will play Beth, the resident goth girl and a local tattoo artist. As an unapologetic fan of horror films, Beth is outspoken about her encyclopedic knowledge of movie murder — which is sure to come in handy with a killer on the loose. Palmer will play Kym, a bold and beautiful social activist with a big heart and zero patience for suffering fools. When Kym and her friends find themselves hunted by a killer, she works to flip the script and survive at any cost. Sula will portray Liv, the new girl at school. As a member of the cheer squad and an honor roll student, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and an ideal life. But as she and Deion grow closer amid the murder and mayhem, it soon becomes clear that she has just as many secrets as everyone. Gioiello rounds out the cast as Manny, an openly gay and loyal kid who is often smartest person in the room. But his wits are put to the test when he suddenly finds himself in the crosshairs of a killer — which makes his simple goal of surviving high school and moving on with his life seem impossible. In addition to the new cast, anthology format and story, production is also being relocated to Atlanta. "Scream's" six-episode third season will air as a three-night event in March on MTV. A specific premiere date has not been announced. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...-3-mtv-1037710 |

Keke Palmer Updates on "Scream" Season 3
by John Squires March 29, 2018 The classic Ghostface mask will be back in this year’s new season of the TV series "Scream", which will hit the reboot button rather than continue the storyline from the first two seasons. But what has happened to the new season? It was originally supposed to premiere *this* month, but completely vanished a handful of months back. As it turns out, and as we expected, the Harvey Weinstein scandal was the cause of the delay, as "Scream" is a Weinstein Company/Dimension Films property. Star Keke Palmer just updated on the status of the project in a chat with Forbes. The site explains, “Palmer is also set to star in Scream, which was at one time executive produced by the beleaguered Weinsteins. It’s an affiliation that caused a 'little holdup' and at the time of the interview she didn’t know exactly when it would release. Weinstein’s credit was reportedly removed from the upcoming season.” They add, “Palmer affirmed that the showrunner said everything 'looked great' and the show would release soon, most likely this spring.” http://bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3491...eam-returning/ |
