Whatever happened to Andre Edwards (Ernie from season four's "J.J.'s New Career")?

Whatever happened to Andre Edwards, who played J.J.'s old high school classmate Ernie in the season four two-parter "J.J.'s New Career"? (Grand Bush co-starred as another of J.J.'s former high school classmates, and Ernie's partner-in-crime, Leon.) Seems after guest-starring on an episode of "What's Happening!!" (the season three premiere "Disco Dollar Disaster") in 1978, he apparently stopped acting and just disappeared. I'm curious to know whatever became of him...I've always wondered if he's still among the living or if he's deceased.

Don't know what happened too him after Disco Dollar Disaster. But I felt he wasn't as natural an actor as the guy who played 'Ernie'(Grand L. Bush) in the 'J.J's New Career' episodes. Grand had a long and solid movie career, while Andre didn't!

I enthusiastically concur. Andre Edwards didn't have the charisma or sex appeal that Grand Bush had...Edwards looked a neophyte who had no idea what he was doing while Bush was more seasoned and far more experienced. Bush went on to enjoy a solid career as a working character actor in Tinseltown while Edwards just faded away back into obscurity.
