This "we found money" scam just happened. There was another case like this profiled on Unsolved Mysteries way back when. This latest one was the exact same thing as if the one on UM was the blue print for it. I wonder if they came up with the scheme by watching the it on UM? Maybe?

I don't remember seeing this on UM, but do remember seeing it on The Golden Girls.
