Default Original Degrassi Jr. High & Degrassi High

Does anyone remember the original series? With Joey Jeremiah, Snake, Caitlyn, Wheels, etc. It was great. I wish they would bring it back to tv.

This was my favorite show as a teenager!!!!Why they ever stopped playing it,I'll never know.I just found out something strange:that when they used to play this on PBS they censored it AND stopped showing episodes before they showed them all.I believe the last one they showed was The Fire one....which I always assunmed was the last one.Theres also a Degrassi movie that wraps up all the loose ends and tells you what happend to everyone. This stuff is for sale on amazon.com and half.com.I just ordered myself the Degrassi High boxed set for my birthday so I can re-live the experience.I'll show it to my daughter Cailtlyn(Yes...named after a Degrassi charactor!) when she's old enough to understand.
JOEY JEREMIAH ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Smile Cool!

It is so cool to find another Degrassi fan. That is so cool that you named your daughter after Caitlyn. I have always loved that name. Have you got your tapes yet? If so, is it like you remembered? I actually have been on Amazon.com & Half.com looking at the tapes for the last couple weeks. I would love to get the whole series, but I havent decided whether I want to spend that much money on it yet. The Jr. High & High series plus movie would be like $350.00. That is a lot to spend, but I bet it would be worth it.

I watched some original Degrassi High when it aired back in the 90s in Canada, either on Global which was then STV or CBC. I'm not sure. Anyway, the show was pretty good. I think the New Generation show sucks. I can't stand it! The original Degrassi High was so much better.

yes, snake and spike and mr. raditch are on the show. apparently the first episode has a lot more characters, kinda like a reunion deal.

You now i've never seen the original, when did it air originally? If it was in the early 90's then i don't know why i missed it, was it syndicated in America or did it air on a network? was it daytime or primetime? was it an American series? i just started watching the Next Generation on Noggin and its good? is it as good as the original or is it a cheap rip-off that comes nowhere close to being as good as the original series?

the original aired from like 89 to around 92 i think. i came on at night on pbs. so that probably wasn't a channel you watched a lot as a child. execpt for sesame street, etc. it's was and is a canadian show. since i haven't seen it, i dont' know if it's as good, but i've heard it's not as good, but not a rip off either.

Who here likes the character Luke? I like him, despite the fact he gave Shane acid!

My favourite episode of Junior High is probably "Great Expectations" because Joey's really funny in that episode. I like episodes that feature him in a leading role(other examples are "Fight!" and "Pa-arty!"). I also like Wheels(who played Griff on KDS) episodes, including "Parents Night".

Did anyone see Spike's mom in the DJH series? I was watching the ep last night where Spike and her mom had dinner with the family of the father of her baby, was it me or did she really resemble Spike as she is in the Next Generation series?
