There seems to be several segments/episodes/Other Stuff that was only aired like 1 time in UM history.
-The Janet O'Regan case was apparently aired only once or so(I completely understand the privacy reasons) The Halloween special,3rd Anniversary special,90-minute Thanksgiving Special, Christmas special were also aired only once. -The Virginia Madsen episodes without Stacks voiceovering them were aired only once. As they were not part of the later Lifetime syndication run.(I understand the royalty fee reasons) -I cant recall them from the top of my head but some segments were slightly altered after their original air date. Correct me if I am wrong or missing stuff about that said above The UM fans that were lucky to of have recorded that stuff that was only aired like 1 time in UM history, you literally have a pot of gold as we will probably never see it again in any kind of legal syndication/online streaming platform While I completely understand the legal/privacy/statue of limitations/budget constraints/executive producers discretion reasons. It just leaves a hole in it for us UM fanatics. Once again the UM community is forced underground to make bootleg DVDS/files, undercover YouTube channels, and have segments/episodes floating all over the internet |

I believe the Doyle Wheeler segment only aired once due to Donovan Jacobs trying to sue UM because he disliked the way he was portrayed. This is based on something I've read on these forums, so I'm not 100% sure it's factual. Would love to have more information about it.

The season 3 segment about "Debbie" who was raped and shot in her face in North Carolina was only aired once on the December 5, 1990 episode. When the episode was rerun, Debbie's segment was replaced by the Michael Francke case.
I've heard that the reason for it never being rerun is because of Robert Stack's spiel about interracial crime at the beginning of the segment. But couldn't they have somehow edited that part out and rerun it? This woman was raped, shot and left for dead and her attacker still needed to be apprehended. |

I remember Ms. Madsen doing the slow, serious Stack walk to the camera but I don't remember the cases themselves. |

The Todd McAfee segment was one of the better ones, IMO. I have no idea why they stopped airing it.

I'm pretty sure I watched the "Debbie" segment numerous times on Lifetime reruns.
Also, this segment is on Amazon Video, (yes, they did take out the racial remark by Stack) It's in Season 3, Episode 12, timestamp 26:55. |

I wish the David Tyll and Brian Ognjan case had been given the full episode it deserved. That's among the top ten most terrifying and disgusting cases I've read about.
