Fox Will Air New True Crime Special "Who Shot Biggie & Tupac?" on Sept. 24th
Fox Will Attempt to Solve the Mystery of Who Shot Biggie and Tupac in New Special
by Lindsay Macdonald Aug 25, 2017 Fox is continuing its true crime obsession by launching a two-hour investigative special into two of the most famous shootings of recent history: Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur: two larger-than-life personalities -- and former friends -- were gunned down within months of each other in the late 1990s. Shakur was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on Sept. 13, 1996. Smalls, born Christopher George Latore Wallace, was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. It has been 20 years since their murders and no one has been held accountable; both murders remain officially unsolved. Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? aims to uncover the truth behind these murders and whether or not police corruption, gang connections or even the alleged fierce rap rivalry played a part in their deaths. The special will feature interviews with former private investigators, police officers, informants and hip-hop insiders, including Doug E Fresh, Funkmaster Flex and former Death Row Records executive Suge Knight. For the first time ever, the best friends of Tupac and Biggie, Lil' Cease and E.D.I. Mean, will reunite on camera to talk about the friendship between the two rappers, their untimely deaths and the East Coast/West Coast fallout. Additionally, an exclusive, never-before-released audio recording of Biggie talking about the shooting of Tupac will be unveiled. Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? will air Sunday, Sept. 24 on Fox. http://www.tvguide.com/news/who-shot...e-special-fox/ |

Didn't listen to their music. Didn't care that they died. Don't care if their cases get solved. I'm guessing they don't get solved.

If you're not interested, why bother to reply? What good does it do to put negativity into the world? In any case, this is going to be interesting. I've watched several documentaries on the subject and it will be nice to see if there's been any new revelations regarding suspects and the corruption within the LAPD and their connection with Suge Knight's Death Row Records. That's the really insane part of the story. |

Tupac signed his death warrant by his actions that night & the guy who almost certainly pulled the trigger was killed in an unrelated gang beef some time later. Not sure about Biggie, but from what I have read he like many other slain rappers made plenty of enemies. My man Ice Cube is still rolling.

As far as those guys are concerned to me they were famous for being famous. I'm sure that's not technically true but I have no idea what they did. I'd hate to be quizzed to name a genre or one title or anything else. I assume it was profanity related music. That's why it doesn't exist to me. IMO, profanity reliance basically means you don't have much talent to fall back on, whether it's comedy or music or anything else. But absolutely I hate that they died and would hope both cases are solved. As mentioned above, the Tupac case doesn't seem complicated regarding who did it. I think I detailed a year or so ago that obvious Tupac back route departure along Koval Lane toward the fatal encounter at the intersection of Koval and Flamingo. That area was incredibly familiar to me because I lived nearby for years and frequented the corner Arco station, and the 7-11 only 20 yards away, on most nights at 3 or 4 AM while walking back home after playing the Vision Series slot machines around town. I'll watch the program. |

![]() In any case-- back to the case. I find it shocking that Tupac was gunned down in the middle of Las Vegas and no one saw a thing. I'm not convinced of the conspiracy theory that he faked his own death. I do, however, believe Suge Knight was absolutely involved in both cases. I'm curious as to the documentary's take. |
