Stephen Dorff Joins Fox Musical Drama "Star"

We’re about to learn more about the background of the titular lead character of Fox’s "Star". EW can reveal exclusively that Stephen Dorff is joining the drama as the father of Star Davis (Jude Demorest).

Dorff will play the edgy Bobby Dean, who’s basically the male version of his daughter. Bobby Dean has tons of swagger and returns to Atlanta to reunite with his family.

"Star" marks a reunion for Dorff and series creator Lee Daniels, who previously collaborated on Daniels’ first film Shadowboxer.

"Star" returns for its second season Sept. 27 at 9pm on Fox.
