I was researching what episode the Doyle Wheeler story was featured, and going through the list and trying to match up which episode it was aired, and its not in the November 8th 1990. Was there some reason it was omitted from the AP syndicate episodes? Is there a legal reason or maybe Doyle Wheeler asked it to be kept off?

I think I read on these boards somewhere that Donovan Jacobs actually sued UM because he didn't like how he was portrayed in the segment (what a shocker, he seemed like such a lovely guy
). I have no idea how the lawsuit turned out, but it's probably the main reason why this segment never showed up in reruns and is not on Prime. It's pretty ironic too since Wheeler was treading very carefully in his interview and never flat-out accused Jacobs of orchestrating the attempt on his life, but Jacobs still sued anyway. |
