Default Chuck E. Cheese's getting rid of iconic animatronic band

http://wgntv.com/2017/08/21/chuck-e-...matronic-band/

I don't blame them at all. They do look scary like a lot of people are saying.

That's just stupid that some people find them "creepy". Those people need to get a life.

I loved the band as a child. So many beloved things from my childhood are vanishing: Ronald McDonald, clowns in general, circuses, etc.. What's next?---the county fair?

The Chuck E. Cheese ones aren't that creepy, but the ones from Showbiz Pizza Place (1980-1992) were very creepy to me as a child... but I loved them! I still do love them. In fact, I'm Facebook friends with the creator of those characters, Aaron Fechter. Showbiz was a huge part of my childhood. Sadly it was replaced by Chuck E. Cheese. I didn't know until about maybe ten years ago (when I looked it up online) that Chuck E. Cheese actually came first, in 1977 (or '78, I forget). But the animatronics weren't very good until they bought out Showbiz and got to use their animatronics, with new skins and costumes.

As a kid, I felt that all the other pizza places were lame because they didn't have a "robot band." Those characters were my favorite part of the place. The games and pizza were nice too, but I was absolutely mesmerized with the characters on stage. Again, I'm talking Showbiz and not Chuck E. Cheese.

I have very vague memories of this. I found them a bit frightening to be honest.

Here's the old Showbiz band. Basically they were stripped, re-arranged on the stages, and made into the new characters.

(from left to right)
Rolfe & Earle became Chuck E. Cheese.
Dook LaRue became Pasqually.
Fatz Geronimo became Munch.
Beach Bear became Jasper T. Jowls.
Mitzi Mozzarella became Helen Henny.
Billy Bob was discarded altogether.
Looney Bird became Pizza Cam.

It's just your opinion. There are some people out there who are really afraid of those things.

I find dolls creepy. People have different phobias and fears.
