The Family Channel/Fox Family Channel/ABC Family and game shows - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I remember when The Family Channel seemed to be the king of game shows by having lots of fun game shows that the whole family could watch together when they started their very own afternoon game show block which consisted of the game shows Wait Till You Have Kids Small Talk Shopping Spree and The New Shop Till You Drop and then had the popular game show Family Challenge hosted by the late Ray Combs and then renamed The All New Family Challenge with new host Michael Burger but ever since The Family Channel changed their image and became Fox Family Channel it seemed that they were more interested in sitcoms and cartoons rather than game shows but regained their love of game shows with Paranoia with the late Peter Tomarken but when Fox Family Channel got bought by Disney and named itself ABC Family they tried to regain their liking of game shows by having a game show hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro but ever since they named itself Freeform they show no more game shows now. And I remember when game shows on The Family Channel were so great to watch with the remake of It Takes Two and the classic game show block with reruns of Name That Tune and the original Let's Make A Deal and the game show Split Second was featured as well. I wish Freeform could add their own game shows and that would be great to watch just as The Family Channel's game shows were. Do you think game shows would work for Freeform to air on their channel?

Unfortunately, unless you could take a time machine back to 1998 and tell Pat Robertson not to sell the Family Channel to FOX, I think the gameshow ship has sailed away. The only shows that would work on Freeform are "Baggage" "Love Triangle" and the new version of "Love Connection." and I think those are the closest to gameshows you will see on FREEFORM.

The Family Channel was AWESOME back in the '90s, and
the Gameshow block was impressive I think it started around noon and didn't finish until 6 PM.

Don't forget GSN was good when it first started and the USA Network was The King of Game Shows.

They aired Game Show Reruns of BULLSEYE, Tic Tac Dough, Hot Potato, Blockbusters, Card Sharks, Face the Music, Name That Tune, GO, Chain Reaction, Let's Make a Deal and Treasure Hunt as well as Break the Bank 85/86
