You mean like when she makes him leave work to go to the school instead of doing it herself? She too busy vacuuming in her pearls.

For instance: after June hurts Beaver's feeling by not wearing the ooh-la-la blouse, she tells Wally that she'll have Ward talk to him. Wally tells her not to be afraid--he's just a little kid. Geez, she screws up (but Ward shares part of the blame since he told her not to wear it) and she can't even talk to the kid, without being prodded by Wally? I will say, she did pull it off pretty well, once coaxed to do it.

Seems Ward was always doing even the simple things. June says after dinner you should call Mrs. Mondello and see if Larry's back. Why doesn't June. In Community Chest Ward has to call all the contributors to ask if they want their money back. It was June's project. He even had to take a gardenia back and get the orchid. I guess Ward had all the money. Go rent a parrot, help Beaver with poem, stop on the way home and buy pigeons, even though June is home all day.

And when she does take some action, well...how about the brussels sprouts episode? She digs herself a hole and imposes a wrong punishment.
It's lucky she didn't marry Mr. Mondello or nothing would ever get done. |

And the one time Ward is actually responsible (for his suits accidentally being donated to the clothing drive at Beaver's school instead og going to the dry cleaners) he wanted June to go down to the school and get his suits back!!

I think she owed him one. When June can't stand Wally's jellyroll she does go to see Mr. Hallor for support. First time Ward didn't do her bidding. I don't think she ever helped with the boys' schoolwork.
I'm sure there are many other times Ward had to just do it. |

My favorite request of Ward was when he had to go pick up Beaver at the supermarket after skipping school. Since he was going there could he buy her some clothespins. "Why June you can pick clothespins up anytime!"
