On today's episode of One Day At A Time named Jealousy I happened to notice that actor Greg Evigan made a guest appearance in One Day At A Time and I had never noticed it before. I knew Greg Evigan appeared in My Two Dads so seeing this episode of One Day At A Time was a surprise to me
Was Greg Evigan's first starring role in TV One Day At A Time before becoming a household name on My Two Dads?

Greg Evigan was already a household name from starring in B. J. and the Bear from 1979–1981 before My Two Dads - the BJ&TB pilot aired in Oct '79 before his Nov '79 appearance on ODAAT, but the series itself didn't start until Feb of '79.
