Andy and Helen Engaged? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I am watching Season 7, Episode 24 ,"Helen the Authoress" and during this episode numerous people keep referring to Helen as Andy's fiance. I have seen every episode of this show many, many times and do not recall them actually getting engaged. I know that there are several times over the years that Barney gets confused and thinks they are getting married, but when did they actually get engaged?

And I know the wedding does not occur until Mayberry RFD.

I love the color episodes with Helen. I don't think she gets enough credit for what she added comedically ,and with her stunning beauty to the show.

I don't believe they ever agreed on marriage until RFD. Seems like Andy kept putting it off.

The show had continuity issues with all the various writers. It makes for good trivia now. Funny, in the ending credits there's a continuity person too.
