Default pe...

do you guys run a lot? and what sports do you play?

this year we played volleyball, flag football (the funnest) and basketball (first semester) then second semester we did softball (ugh...) and volleyball and are doing basketball now.

my teacher never makes us run. maybe once a week. all the other classes run like 3 miles a week. but when we do run the mile we can't stop, it's so annoying. but we usually run 1/2 a mile every mon...that's not hard, at least we're doing stuff now..

Let's see... When I was in school we did.... Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, Street Hockey, Speed-Away, Soccer, Volleyball, Dance (Tap and Jazz),Flag football, Aerobics, Weight Room, Bombardment, Obstacle Course, and Self Defense.
We also had fitness cards each quarter where we had to do the 600, One Mile, Half Mile, 100 Yard Dash, 50 yard dash, Push-ups, Pull-ups, and a bunch of other stuff.
(That was all in one year)

On rainy days we had to run the gym for 5 minutes straight and then we usually played Basketball, Volleyball, or Crab Soccer. Sometimes we had to run the mile in the rain...

We just had to run three laps everyday. (I had PE at 8:21 in the morning it sucked.)

1st Term: Soccer and Football
2nd Term: Basketball
3rd Term: (I had health, but in gym they did) Volleyball
4th Term: Track and relays and high jump and 440s and 220s........ this whole freaking track unit that I have been trying to get out fo soooooooooooooo many time!

So, to answer your question we run. (ANd in the terms we did more games but those sports were the basic longer section of the term. The main game.)

You think you all got it bad....My PE is on Friday mornings from 8:10 to 9:25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over a freaking hour!!!!!

Anyways we swim because we have a pool. Then, we have an aerobics room where we do stuff, then a room full of all weights and treadmils, bikes, stairmasters, etc, then we have the regular gym which obviously has basketball hoops, then we have outside which has a soccer field, baseball diamonds, and tennis courts.

7:50 to 8:40!! KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS CENTRAL TIME ZONE!! An hour ahead of you!!!

Argh. We run a lot. I hate it when people are "OMG WE HAVE TO GO OUT AND RUN A LAP! I'M GONNA DIE!!!!!!" God we run at least 4 miles a day at track! And then everyone's like "NO!! NOT THE MILE!!" AH! It annoys me. The only sport sport I like playing in PE is volleyball. When we play basketball, they're all like "Okay this is how you bounce the ball!" We just did bowling...god that sucked. Scooter soccer is soo fun!

And we have it every day. EVERY DAY. No big deal, but some of you said you only had it once a week.

LUCKY. I had it for four hours straight, 7:30 to 11:30 AM. I take summer gym, so it's only 3 weeks of torture, but it's still hell...

Last summer I took Lifetime Fitness, which doesn't teach any sports. It's just book learning, weight-lifting, and running. Oh, the running... 3 miles everyday, in the sweltering heat. People threw up, people got sick... it was horrible. But it was only for a few short weeks and I was done with gym for a whole year, so it was worth it. Now after this summer, I'll be completely done with P.E. I will never have to take it again!
