Default What is your favorite fairy tale?

When you were a child did you have a favorite fairy tale that you liked so much and why did you like it? My favorite fairy tale is The Frog Prince because it's such a wonderful story and it has a very happy ending

I'd say Goldilocks and the three Bears! I don't know why, just I always thought it was really cute and a happy memory from childhood. I had the story book , one of the first books I ever had and I loved it!!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We didn't have our own story books at home when I was a kid but when I was in 3rd grade we were allowed to get a book from the school library and I always got Snow White because I liked it so much.

Default Mermaid

The Little Mermaid
I like mermaids and I thought Ariel is so pretty.
I love the Disney version. The version I grew up with the mermaid dies at the end. Well in some turns into a fairy or angel or a statue. It was Hans Christian Anderson.

I don't think I had a favorite as a kid, but I did enjoy watching Shelley Duvall's Fairy Tale Theater when it originally aired.

Oh No

I didn't have a favorite...but when I was a child, Chicken Little/Henny Penny was my least favorite fairy tale since Foxy Loxy ate almost everyone...

But if I did retake my acting classes and we had to do a fairy tale...I'd revamp Chicken Little/ Henny Penny, but I'd include an established character...Loopy de Loop...

Loopy would tell the birds NOT to see Foxy Loxy...but in the end, Chicken Little and his friends would chase Loopy...

I also like Beauty And The Beast because it teaches you a good lesson and has a great story to it. Did you know that in the original Beauty And The Beast Beauty had two sisters and also another fact is that in some versions of Beauty And The Beast the beast had brothers too but it is unknown what happened to the beast's brothers in the story. My second favorite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty because of it's beautiful story and it's wonderful ending

I will say that I do like the Disney version of The Little Mermaid...

It's because I do encounter times where I want to...well... let's say... I want to have a car and drive since I can go anywhere anytime...mass transit...you don't have that freedom and what I encountered today... I won't take the bus! And in Ariel's case...she wants to be on dry land rather than water since there's more opportunities on the land than ocean....

All the adaptions made by Walt Disney Animation Studios from Snow White (1937) to Moana (2016).

Niles: God is forgiving, Miss Fine. When I was a boy, I once took five shillings out of the collection plate at church for toffee.
Fran: And nothing happened to you, right?
Niles: That's right, absolutely nothing. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go wash other peoples' underwear.
