Default Do you enjoy a show even if you know the actors were miserable?

Watching the later seasons of Three's Company is a tiny bit of a downer for me because I know Priscilla Barnes hated doing the show.

Has anyone ever seen the E! True Hollywood Story? In it Priscilla Barnes talks about how much she HATED being on Three's Company. She actually wanted to quit after the third episode because she did not like being there. She even said that the three years she was on the show were the worst three years of her entire life.

Just wondering if this bothers anyone else.

It does bother me a bit as well. I always liked Terri and she seemed to be having fun on the show that i was suprised to hear about how she actually felt about it (signs of a good actress as she hated it so much!)

Also in the later episodes with Chrissy when the tensions were high during that whole ordeal, I watch the trios interactions with eachother and wonder how uncomfortable they all must feel while trying to put on a happy front....

For a show that was so fun, there sure was a ton of drama that I can't help but think about while watching...

Since there was no internet when I saw TC in it's original run, I didn't know about all the other behind the scenes drama other than Chrissy's departure.

In fact, if I didn't post on these boards I still wouldn't know. Only a few years back, I learned about more drama.

So since I was ignorant, no it doesn't bother me if other actors were miserable.

Most of them are miserable because it's human nature to want what you don't have. Once you have money and fame - what you thought you wanted - and it doesn't satisfy you, you look for something else. That's why there are so many drunks and drug addicts in show business.

Good point. Money solves some problems, but creates others. Everybody has problems to deal with; just different kinds.
