Funny how Beaver said in Spanish how Chuey had the face of a pig when later Gloria said Wally had a pug nose or a pig's nose. I guess Wally knew how it felt to be told he had an unusual nose only to find out later she liked his pug nose. I found it funny how Wally thought that contraption would make his nose into a roman nose.

I thought it was odd how quickly he got the device. Since when was mail order so quick? All those silly ads on TV now (get a second item free just pay a fee (huh??)) say 3 to 6 weeks for delivery. Can't imagine it was quicker in 1959.

Also as silly as Wally thinking the device would work was Beaver looking in the mirror and actually coming to the table with glama-sheen in his hair. (or with the sandpapered/makeup covered freckles).

Yes there were a lot of episodes where the boys felt self-conscious and tried to do something about their appearance especially Beaver. I love how Wally thought he had a pug nose but after a talk with Ward he starts to tape his ears back. I found the episode Sheepdog one of the worst because it was so forced calling Beaver sheepdog when all he had to do was comb his hair. Dumb! What happened to all the girls who liked Beaver and thought he was cute.
