Beaver cursed later. June could have had a line (after Beaver confessed what happened at school)--"Oh, if only you boys hadn't read that awful Tom Sawyer!"

Right. He also smoked that meerschaum with Larry, played hooky unintentionally and lied numerous times when he said he was skating at the Ice Palace, that Gilbert gave him the race car and told the class he owned a parrot.
