I was listening to music and found a band that was popular in the 60's called The Guess Who and I would like to know if you remember this band? The Guess Who was best known for the songs These Eyes Undone No Time Laughing and American Woman which was also covered by rock star Lenny Kravitz. One of the members of The Guess Who later became a member of Bachman Turner Overdrive in the 70's as well

I used to have an 8-track tape of their greatest hits, and always enjoyed their music. Another good band from that era is The Grass Roots

OH wow how could I have forgotten to mention "Share the land" !
A very deep meaningful song , Total early 70's when we were still hopeful of good things for the future if we stuck together and tried living in harmony and peace! I LOVE this song!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLQJ4toj-JY |

Undun is a pretty good song, I like it, add it to the five other songs I listed previously.
I've never really liked the song American Woman. I know it was a #1 hit but that doesn't impress me, I still don't like it. ![]() Share The Land has a positive message, but to me it sounds too much like a gospel song, the type of song that should be sung in church. Not to my liking. However, a year later in 1971, the group Ocean scored a hit with the religion based song Put Your Hand In The Hand. I do like this song and it's among my favorite hits from 1971. |
