I am the same age as Johnny and Anissa and watched Family Affair in 1966.

I have recently been watching the reruns again and I am noticing for the first time that Johnny Whitaker may have a hairpiece tacked on to the front of his head. Quite often the mass of curls seems to be fake. They are uneven with a different texture and a slightly different color than the back of his head.

We know that poor Anissa had to endure pigtails and curls like Susan Olsen, so maybe they messed with Johnny's hair too.

What do you think? I can't find any info on this.

Interesting observation. I saw what you described but forgot what episode I was watching. The color in front was a bit different.
