I've never been a big fan of the show...but when I was a child I heard something about 'The Munsters' that I haven't forgotten to this day!

I remember reading in TV guide, that when Fred Gwynne went into make-up prior to filming it was a "4 hour operation"!

Now, when you're young...an 'operation' was something a surgeon would perform on you! In fact, the game "Operation' was VERY popular at the time.

So, in my little mind I remember thinking..."Wow, a four hour operation EVERY day just for a TV show!" I ACTUALLY thought he would have a plate implanted in his head EACH DAY to get that 'Herman look'!

It's weird what we never forget from our youth!
