It's a very beautiful bottle. I see these on Ebay and Etsy for around $200.00.Thinking about buying one. Just not sure who makes the best replica.I know the bottles used on the show were 1964 Jim Beam's Choice bottles.I see those unpainted bottles go for around 50 to 100 dollars and they look great too.A very interesting conversation piece to have around the house.

I have the purple one made by jeanniebottles. They re the only licensed one and are endorsed by Barbara Eden. It is a beautiful bottle.
I have a collection of Jeannie things and it is one of my favorite pieces. |

Barbara Eden has not endorsed the bottles made by jeanniebottles.com - or any bottles. The owner did purchase a license from Sony to use images from the TV show when selling his bottles. But that has now expired and has not been renewed. Sony does not "police" bottle artists so anyone can paint one - and there is no "official" Jeannie bottle.

I have 4 undecorated ones that are just dark green, they look more like Jeannie's sister's bottle.

Just because JeannieBottles.com seems to be at every show that Barbara is at, doesn't mean that she has endorsed the bottle. Most of those bottles are ceramic and not of the same variety as were on the TV show, which were 1964 Jim Beam bottles. It is true that this person no longer holds the license to paint them, though he used to, and it was quite pricey at the time. I'm not sure about whether Sony polices bottle artists any more. I know that they don't do much about the numbers of IDOJ websites that are out there. A long time ago, before his death, I understand that Sidney Sheldon used to look at the websites from time to time.
I own two of those bottles, and both are painted. However, I managed to snag the directions for painting them, online, and had my own little family artist paint them for me. She had a lot of fun doing them for me, and they are definitely conversation pieces. Sometimes I have a Hallmark Jeannie (Christmas ornament) sticking her head out of the bottle, just for fun. There are many good bottle artists out there. Just be prepared to pay a price for a really good one. |
