Question Any success with prayers of healing, miracle healing

Unsolved Mysteries had many episodes on faith healing, miracles, miracles of lourdres, miracle healing, prayers, ufo healing

any one had any personal success with prayer and healing, healing miracles?

someone close to me was recently diagnosed with alzheimer's.

Call me a skeptic but I still gotta say this anyway. You don't see 'faith' healers employed by hospitals for the same reason you don't see psychics winning at gambling.

I think people who believe in such matters can find some comfort in these practices of their beliefs when it comes to difficult situations.

However, if it were that simple, we wouldn't need healthcare.

There are scientific explanations for everything, even if the science is not fully understood or explored yet.

statistically "the power of prayer" has been proven to have a positive effect - whether it is due to some greater power, a placebo effect, or other factors is irrelevant; if the person believes that it works it gives them hope and that in itself can be beneficial to healing.

mind you, faith-based healing by itself probably isn't going to cure cancer or some other fatal disease, but as long as the person isn't giving away all their money to some con man or foregoing other medical options what's the harm?

I agree with this. If it is faith-based or just the power of the mind and it helps, I am all for it. The power of positive thinking can do a lot towards making people better.

However, if it is a scam or if it is being done in lieu of real treatment, then I have a huge issue. The "faith healers" who scammed people deserve to burn for eternity. I can't remember the name of the guy in the UM case, but he felt his mom was being scammed by a faith healer so he went to see him. He proved the healer was fake but his mom never forgave him for it. She died still mad at her son who was trying to help her get real treatment.

Prayer, meditation, positive thinking, therapeutic touch, etc. are all fine IF they are done in addition to a real medical plan from a certified physician.
