Robert 'Rusty' Stevens was born in 1948 9 ie Larry Mondello would likely have been in 3rd grade as Beaver should have been.
Beavers friends Stanley Fafara was born 1949 he was 8 ie Whitey Whitney would likely have been in 2nd grade. Stephen Talbot was born in 1949 he was 8 also ie Gilbert Gates would likely have been in 2nd grade. Rich Correll was born in 1948 he was 9 ie Richard Rickover would likely have been in 3rd grade. Wally friends (mostly) Ken Osmond was born in 1943 which means he 14 ie Eddie Haskell would have been in 8th grade. Frank Bank was born in 1942 which would mean 14-15 ie Clarence 'Lumpy' Rutherford would likely have been a Freshman in high school so 3 year older then Wally. Started a bully of both boys. Tiger Fafara was born in 1945 which made him 12 ie Tooey Brown was Wally's age. Buddy Joe Hooker was born 1942 14-15 ie Chester Anderson should have been a freshmen. |

We know Lumpy was left back, but Osmond's age is way off.

Actors play different ages all the time, I understand all the hoopla over the character's and their ages being all over the place season to season. But the real life ages has no bearing, especially if it's just off by one year.

All Beaver's friends were at around his age where as Wally's were mostly playing a couple of years older.
Was Wally tall for his age in the first couple of seasons? |

I still thought it was a riot how Wally talks to Myra about not old enough to drive them to the dance and says he's only 14. He looked about 17. With a mustache he looked 25. Also Gilbert looked so old at the end of the series and had just left 8th grade but had a mustache.
