At the time Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was huge in TV CBS debuted a game show that was created by the same company as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire called Winning Lines and was based on a British game show of the same name and featured players answering questions and the player with the highest score won the game and competed in a bonus round named The Wonderwall. Although short lived Winning Lines was one of the most underrated game shows in America

Wow Bestie! I am a game show nut and I never heard of Winning Lines! I wish you could get on a show like The Chase or Jeopardy! You would be a champ! Keep the trivia coming my friend!

The series aired in the year 2000 during the Game Show Millionaire Craze abc still had Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (which was THE #1 show of the 99/2000 Season and put abc BACK on TOP) FOX had GREED from Executive Producer the late TV Icon Dick Clark CBS had Winning Lines hosted by the late Mr. Clark and NBC had The All New Tewnty-One with Maury Povich from the Producer of The Weakest Link and LINGO and Fred Silverman Winning Lines was an ok show, but too many time changes is what hurt the show and plus, Winning Lines was Mr. Clark's 1st Game Show on CBS since The NEW $25,000 Pyramid and his last Game Show as an emcee 4 years before that devastating stroke |

Do you remember when a woman named Catherine Rahm became the first and only big winner on the debut episode of Winning Lines? She was an awesome contestant who did really amazing on The Wonderwall but due to running short on time she managed to score $500,000 at the end but she did really well

I can honestly say the highlight of Winning Lines was The Wonderwall and when I saw this part of Winning Lines I actually played along and to my surprise if Winning Lines still existed in America I could easily play The Wonderwall very good and win if I was a contestant on Winning Lines. I can say Mr. Clark brought a fresh style to this game show and it was very exciting and full of suspense to play and watch. Why CBS cancelled Winning Lines was a real shame because CBS should bring more trivia game shows to the network rather than focusing on Candy Crush Let's Make A Deal and The Price Is Right

I think what hurt the show the most was when it aired: Saturday Nights.
Also, CBS was (and still is) obsessed with airing nothing but crime procedural dramas during the week. I wish this show along with Greed & Twenty One were on the air today. These 3 shows all have excellent gameplay formats. |

I can honestly say my favorite part of Winning Lines reruns has to be The Wonderwall because it's fun to play along with and I like to say the number and the answers along with the contestant and even my mom likes The Wonderwall too and it's so funny to see her chant "Bail Out" to the contestants. Winning Lines reruns should be added to GSN because it was such a great show that could've lasted longer and a Winning Lines revival would be great to see
