Default I wonder why CBS hasn't thought of having their very own daytime game show block

With many people watching game shows even more now than talk shows and other shows during the daytime hour I often wonder why CBS hasn't thought about developing a daytime game show block? Because with CBS being the king of daytime TV I think a daytime game show block would be cool to watch and score huge ratings for CBS. Because with The Price Is Right and Let's Make A Deal big monster hits for CBS I think it would be nice to add more game shows and put the new Candy Crush game show in place of The Talk or perhaps make a brand new version of Password in the future. Because I find it odd ever since Press Your Luck ended in 1986 and the 1989 version of Now You See It got cancelled and the demise of the 1989 daytime CBS version of Wheel Of Fortune CBS hasn't been interested in having another successful daytime game show since the Wayne Brady version of Let's Make A Deal replaced Guiding Light
Do you think a daytime game show block would work wonders for CBS?

I think it would be great to see more game shows in daytime on CBS. But the reality is there is just so much competition from talk and court shows than there was 40 years ago and there are a lot more working women that has decreased the viewing audience in daytime.

I think Password should be brought back and return to either the original celebrity/civilian format that made the show a hit or similar to Password Plus/Super Password. Not like Million Dollar Password. It was too glitzy and it looked like several Lightning Rounds cobbled together.

I'm very happy that you agree with me. Because a daytime game show block for CBS would work amazingly. I sure wish CBS would put another game show after Let's Make A Deal because it would sure be nice to see another episode of Let's Make A Deal because on my CBS station the only show that airs after Let's Make A Deal is Dr. Phil. So a daytime game show block for CBS would be great to see

CBS is the only network that still airs daytime game shows. In my area and a lot of others Let's Make a Deal is at 10AM and The Price is Right follows at 11AM.

I like this idea too!, unfortunately I don't see it happening unless the ratings for The Talk, YTR and TBTB fall off a cliff.

If CBS added an hour to their daytime schedule a lot of local affiliates would object too it. My local affiliate WPEC-West Palm Beach, FL has a newscast on at 9 AM and 3 PM that is doing very well in the ratings.

Here is a thought: Isn't it time for NBC and ABC to try gameshows in daytime again?, I think 1993 was the last year that either of those networks had gameshows on daytime, they have tried every other kind of programming to compete with CBS, and it hasn't worked.

I always thought that ABC should try one of their recent revivals (maybe Pyramid) as a daytime game show. Maybe cancel The Chew to make room (though most likely it would be GH it replaces).

Well, Fred Silverman, you've finally got what you wished for. Although your poor daytime experiment with The David Letterman Show and Texas didn't really make much of an impact right then and there, they have ultimately had very severe ramifications for the future of daytime game shows in this very day.
