At the very least I would have insisted the hussy be fired and not have slept with Steven that same night after he almost cheated on me with her.

Yes, it was wrong that Stacey Hughes hit on Steven. It was wrong that he almost cheated on Elyse. That's not an episode I like, so I don't think about it much.

I understand.

It was actually a pretty funny one for me but I just wanted Elyse to be more assertive. She was kind of a pushover a lot of the time except on Alex's 18th birthday and with Mr. Tedesco.

I've seen the episode with Mallory fouling up the commercial more recently. Yes, I think you're right that Elyse's treatment of her afterward was not normal for anyone with a realistic temperament.

Absolutely.

Mallory pulled that same tantrum stuff with Alex when he was interviewing for Yale and he patted her on the head when she screwed up that opportunity for him too.
