Does anybody remeber when ABC use to put Disney Cartoons as they were called on in the afternoon when all the kids got out of school. They had shows like Bonkers, Tales Spin, Goof Troop and many more.

Yes the Disney Afternoon!
It was on here on WPIX from 3-5pm here in NY/NJ. DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale, Talespin, and Darkwing Duck was by far the best lineup. |

Here in Philly it was on WTXF (FOX Philadelphia) and on WPHL (Philadelphia's WB17).
In 1991, DuckTales and TaleSpin were aired on FOX Philadelphia and Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck were bothj on Philadelphia's WB17. |

Hey me too! Here is how I watched Saturday morning cartoons:
1987=Although I was born that year, I watched ABC a lot. In fact, for me, it is a tradition in my family(Except for my brother who was born a year later) to watch sitcoms and be the good old family. The first cartoon I can recall watching was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Wasn't there one pretty girl on there who looked like Britney Spears from Oops, I Did It Again? I think her name was Irma. Then, I watched up until 1993, Super Mario Bros., T-Rex(T-Rex was cool, but very obscure) Tom and Jerry, The Three Stooges, and a few others. 1993= I discover ABC toons. I obviously did not have any intrest in NBC, other than their sitcoms which aired on weekdays. I saw Sonic The Hedgehog, a few others, and then what I call cartoons;Classic Bugs and Daffy. The majority of Bugs and Daffy toons were made in the era when I Love Lucy, and Muddy Waters were cool people. They had some cool music too. 1994=Once more for the record, I continue to view ABC, but I however get so obsessed with the pink ranger. 1997=The day the cartoons died!=( I remember tunning in to watch ABC, and the only decent cartoon that was on was, believe it or not, Bugs and Daffy. It aired until my obsession with Britney Spears began in 2000. One Morning in 2002= I wake up one morning and realized that I need to go into the past, man!LOL So, I go to make some posts, some friends, and to today, I am more than sure that we will be once again where we should be. Other than that one mob that read about that killed CBS and NBC, I think that girls who like those crappy boy bands killed not just toons, but T.V. ANd that is my past, babyLOL |
