E! True Hollywood Story to air again!

Tonight at 10 PM Eastern, E! is running the "True Hollywood Story" about Freddie once again. Get out the hankies and watch it for me, somebody--I can't take it after the way it gave me nightmares! But if you have missed it before it is worth seeing--as long as you are aware that it is scary in the portrayal of his last moments of life!

Thanks for the info! Since our satellite dish is an old one with no descrambler & I can't seem to find one for it we can't get paid channels like E etc. I don't know of anywhere I could go to watch it. Can't go to my parents as it'd be too close to their bedtime to go over there then. We gotta go to the hospital soon to get our precriptions refilled, then out to eat & to a mall up there. By the time we get back it'll be over probably anyway. I'll dig out my tape of it tonite when I get back & watch it.

Yes, the show is very sad & you & you'll need plenty of hankies. It is really sad in the end when he dies & they show the funeral. I can't bear to watch the funeral. It made me cry my eyes out. I went thru the hankies watching it & had a real sobfest. Trust me you'll need to have plenty of hankies when you watch this... I'm glad to see him on tv again... Just so sorry it was for such a sad thing...

I'll Watch it AGAIN....... Even if it's not as I remember the story to be. I just want to see beautiful Freddie again........ Hmmmm.... Where were his so-called Good friends when this story came out? Tony Orlando? etc.???

I wonder why they didn't interview any of his other friends like Tony Orlando or his mom? I still wonder why...

I watched my tape of the E-TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY after we got back home to make up for not having cable tv to watch it on. Cried my eyes out watching it, it was soooo sad. Seeing the funeral & eulogy just kills me. Had me sobbing. It hurts so bad to see that. I saw a clip of his comic act & that had me bawling. I never knew him but I feel like I did in this past year. I cried so hard watching it that I had 2 hankies soaking wet, had trouble breathing for a few minutes & had a bit of a headache which I still have. It upset me so bad seeing the sad stuff in it that after it was over, I went crying to Mike. He tried to calm me down by saying he was up in heaven & he's happy there now. But you know me, I want him here alive with us now.

After that I went to the bedroom to undress for the nite & Mike came in & found me crying over Freddie, sobbing hanky & all. I think he was concerned that it was upsetting me too much. He told me if it was gonna upset me that much maybe I shouldn't watch it. I told him I'll be okay, it's just something that makes me really sad every time I see it. I laid down for awhile trying to get over being sad. I needed to get on the puter & check my e-mail & the message boards I do like this one & the other Freddie boards & Arlo's message boards. I wound up staying on much too late due to doing up those Freddie pics I put up on the other thread & it takes awhile to do e-mail & message boards anyway.

I wish this were just some bad nightmare & that he were really alive. It's so sad...

I want so bad to just put my arms around him & hug him & tell him everything is gonna be allright. I'd tell him that I'd try to help him in anyway I could. & To make everything okay where he didn't die but lived.

Cheryl-your'e such a sweet person! Freddie should have had you as a friend back then! The whole thing makes you want to really cherish the people in your life who are living and let them know everyday that you care about them...

Thanks! I wish I could've known him back then. Sadly, I wasn't into him back then but was just a regular watcher of CATM who thought the show was cool as everyone did back then. I was too much into John Travolta, Shaun Cassidy & the Monkees & still am but have grown to love Freddie over the past yr & feel like he is a friend I never knew or met. If only someone could've helped him, he might be here today...

It is sad to watch.Did you see the part where Freddie was standing backstage at a comedy club with someone while waiting to go on stage? He looked as if he was "out of it".Then when it was his turn to go on stage, he ran to the stage very clumsily.

I remember that scene! I didn't notice how clumsily he walked but reading your post it hit me yeah he walked like that in that clip. & Then he got out there like a trouper & did his act so normal. I wish that dr had never prescribed him any pills.

I wish he weren't supplied any of the drugs he had taken(Coccaine,Heroin,etc..).Being that Freddie himself had stated that when he was a kid he didn't fit in at school and was always being bullied by the older kids,do you think that he could've started messing with those substances to try to fit in? Or could it have been personal anguish? Or both?

I read an article on Freddie somwhere where he said in High School kids would offer him drugs & he'd turn them down not believing in doing drugs. Don't think he did heroin tho. I wonder if he was so against drugs why did he do them? I could understand the pills as he thought they were medicine but the cocaine??? It's so sad...

My view is that he maybe wanted to forget the pain of being harassed at school because he was a sensitive child. At first he experimented but, than he liked it. I'm sure he had people giving it to him and he bought and maybe sold it. I believe he even smoked pot in his own home with the door closed. Usually you start with pot and then take harder and harder drugs. Plus being a comedian he needed something to calm his nerves (who knows?). I'm sure he also had a depression problem and maybe a severe psychological problem and didn't know how to handle the pressure in his brain. Little did he know that taking these substances just made everything worse for him. Sure he had loads of friends but, maybe everyone got scared because he was a big star and they didn't want to rock the boat. That's why I tell my kids about the dangers of substance abuse. They won't learn unless I tell them.

Now I'm not saying they will never dabble in stuff. Each child is different But, you better believe I have my eyeballs looking hard at them and plus I show them the bible and Jesus and hope that they won't fall victim.

You sound like you're doing a great job raising your kids! It's not easy these days I know. I think Maria did a great job in raising Freddie, it's just he had so many problems & couldn't handle them. I'd read too where Freddie had smoked some pot in his parents home without his mom knowing & then reading where kids asked him to do drugs & he refused. Both those stories seemed to contradict themselves...

You know Cheryl now that I think about it. Both his parents were working and they both were not home in the daytime. Remember that he was cutting alot from school? That could be when he would smoke pot in the bedroom. Maybe with his 2 parents working at the same time and no one being home to supervise him, it was easier for him to dabble. It's easy for children to fall prey to demons outside the home. Don't get me wrong his parents did the best for him. Some children just don't listen.......... If anything.......... I learned a lesson from Freddie's demise.....

You are so right about him being alone when his folks worked. I still can't figure out why he'd try drugs when I read he refused to do them when other kids would offer them to him. Sounds like he's contradicting himself... It's so sad what happened to him...
