1. It wasn't clear, but it sounded like Miss Canfield called Whitey "Harry". It certainly didn't sound like "Hubert."
2. It sounded like this episode was played to a live audience. The laughter sounded real, not canned. 3. Cornelia Rayburn (was this the only episode where her first name was used?) looks older in this episode than in the season 6 episodes. Improvements in makeup and hair styles, I guess. 4. Mean Judy hadn't been fleshed out yet. In this episode she was pretty normal. |

Mrs. Rayburn's first name Cornelia was mentioned in the episode when Beaver called Linda Dennison a "smelly old ape" and he hit Larry in the stomach.

I also though Mrs. Rayburn looked older in Season one than later. Funny how there's a scene in Black Eye when Judy talks to a Larry look alike. His name was Philip Greisman or Philip Grayson.

Yeah I did a double take...hey, that's not Rusty Stevens! That kid was a one shot no-name.
Evidently casting was live-testing minor characters...they decided to keep Stanley Fafara and Jeri Weil. The kept hunting for a fat kid...uh, excuse me, that's unkind. They kept hunting for Beaver's best friend. |

As far as I know none of the episodes was filmed live. All the laughter you hear in the episodes was recorded during a showing of the episodes before an audience. At least that's my understanding; someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It really looked like Rusty but he was older. I believe we first see Rusty in Beaver's Crush. However Beaver mentions Larry in Beaver Gets 'Spelled.

Rusty is definitely Beaver's Crush. He ends up in the tree with Linda (who seemed like a really nice little girl--Beaver should have changed his policy toward girls sooner!).
Wasn't there an early reference to "Frankie" Mondello? |

Actually stevea, Beaver's Crush (Season 1) is when he likes Miss Canfield and the kids tease him so he puts the spring snake in her desk. Larry is just in the beginning. Her Idol (Season 2) is the one when Larry sits in the tree with Linda because Miss Landers talks about how the class is like a big family.
Don't know Frankie Mondello but Wally mentions Frankie Mendoza in Wally and Alma. LOL |
