Following the success of The Adventures Of The Black Stallion The Family Channel decided to make another horse drama this time based on Anna Sewell's book Black Beauty called The New Adventures Of Black Beauty that featured Black Beauty in a different storyline and was also created by the same creators as The Adventures Of The Black Stallion. In the 1990's The Family Channel was the top channel that had lots of family dramas that were successful and this show was a great addition to the channel

I finally got to see The New Adventures Of Black Beauty because I got the First and Second Seasons on DVD for Christmas and when I first saw it The New Adventures Of Black Beauty reminded me of a PBS drama show and I was amazed at how well they were able to capture the spirit of the Anna Sewell novel and Black Beauty is amazing too. And the best part of the show is that there is no pop songs just beautiful classical music that really fits the show well. As a horse fan I was amazed at The New Adventures Of Black Beauty and I wondered why The Family Channel cancelled it because it was so beautiful and anything with horses is right up my alley
