Default Mule Saunders and other...

How many of you thought Mule was a real person? I did especially since the had Don Drysdale on the show.

The Waltons had an Alvira Drummond on the show and I thought she was real as well.

Are there other people you thought were real?

I thought he might be real since they are always mentioning famous athletes and movie stars. In almost every episode they mention a Tony Curtis, a Johnny Unitas or a Sal Mineo.

Of course then there's Speed Brophy, too.

Mule was quite a guy--football star/baseball star/beauty parlor owner.

When I was very little, I thought "Little Ricky" was Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz' actual son.

In the Don Drysdale episode the kid who was the newspaper guy's son overacted a little--"Oh, boy. All the way out to Los Angeles!" (scene ends)

Here's what happened to the twins who played Little Ricky on 'I Love Lucy'
No, Desi Arnaz, Jr., didn't play Little Ricky on 'I Love Lucy.'

Most of us know Little Ricky on I Love Lucy as Keith Thibodeaux, the child actor who played Lucy and Ricky's son for 23 episodes during the series' sixth and seventh seasons.

But as we all know, Little Ricky was born in season two, with the episode outdrawing the inauguration of Dwight D. Eisenhower and setting records that would last decades.

So what did Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz do for three and a half seasons before Thibodeaux joined the cast? They hired a pair of twins to switch off and portray their fictional son.

Joe and Mike Mayer were never credited for the role, but they were a central part of the series for three seasons.-lucy

As far as I know Thibodeaux was not credited either. When he first started he was really hard to understand, so the other actors eventually started repeating his lines.

He eventually improved.

I saw Keith on Phil Donahue way back and he was very open about his stuttering problem. The director wanted to hypnotize him.
