Elena Verdugo, who was nurse Consuelo Lopez on the classic 1969-76 ABC medical series Marcus Welby, M.D. (alongside the late Robert Young as the title character, and James Brolin as his partner Dr. Steven Kiley), has passed on at 92.
Obit from The Hollywood Reporter: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...-was-92-974642 Title credit from Marcus Welby, M.D. (from second-season [1970-71] DVD release from Shout! Factory): |

R.I.P.
Marcus Welby has aired on COZI in the past, but isn't airing it now. Hopefully they'll bring it back as a tribute! She was great as Nurse Consuelo!

Too bad Meet Millie is a virtually lost show. Would love to have seen it. I used to like her on Marcus Welby. R.I.P. Elena.

Aww!! Sorry to hear!
She was a sweet lady. I loved her as Consuelo on Marcus Welby!! Also saw her on Tattletales with her Hubby. He was a psychiatrist! Even her being an actress and you know he made good money , they came across as really nice down to earth people! I loved when Cozi showed Marcus Welby! Wish they would bring it back! Maybe METV could get it? That would be cool! RIP Elena!

Nurse Consuelo Lopez was my favorite character on Marcus Welby. I wish Meet Millie was available to view somewhere.

I'm glad Elena lived a long life. She was a great addition to the Welby cast.

I mainly know her from House Of Frankenstein, and the Abbott & Costello movie Little Giant. |

Yeah that show Tattletales is interesting to look back on. If I recall Tattletales was on in the mornings when first aired. I see it now and find it interesting to see the actor and their spouse. A few days ago, saw a young Cathy Rigby and her first husband Tom.
