Was Cher's 1996 album It's A Man's World first released in the UK?

When I was listening to my copy of Cher's 1996 album It's A Man's World I read in the liner notes that the copy I have is the American version and it tells me that Cher originally released the album in the UK before the album made it's American debut later. The singles that were released from Cher's It's A Man's World was a song called Paradise Is Here and a remake of Marc Cohn's 1991 song Walking In Memphis. Do I have a collectible Cher album and do the American and UK versions of It's A Man's World have different covers? Another thing I noticed about the album is that the cd has a holographic image of Cher
