Default Comment on "young Dorothy"

I was just watching the Mother's Day episode, where they show a flashback with Bea Arthur and the actress who plays young Dorothy in the same room at the same time.

It struck me how well cast she was to play Bea at a younger age. Her bone structure, facial features, height, even her voice. I don't know how they could have found a better choice for that role. I imagine she looks much like Bea actually did when she was young. Great job, casting director!

I always felt the same way. She was perfect for playing young Dorothy.

Yes, great casting for that role- she had the mannerisms down, too. My favorite line of hers: "If TV was a fad, Sawnson would have named them radio dinners."

Yeah I also liked when they were arguing with Sophia's mother (amusingly played by Bea Arthur) about moving in and Sophia said "Dorothy if I ever do this to you I want you to take me out to a field and shoot me." and young Dorothy said "Can you put that in writing?"
