Missing scenes on CBS colorized broadcast tonight - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I noticed in the Harpo Marx episode the entire "Gary Cooper" scene was missing and went straight to "Clark Gable" who was supposed to be second. Also, a section of Harpo's Take Me Out to the Ballgame on the harp was cut out too. I guess they have to edit to cram more commercials. I just hope if they release the complete series colorized on DVD or Bluray that they won't edit stuff out.

Have the other colorized episodes been edited?

Yes. In fact all of the "I Love Lucy in Color" episodes have been edited to fit more room for commercials. The only way to get these colorized episodes unedited is to get them on DVD.

Todays new comedies broadcast in 21 minutes. I Love Lucy is 26 minutes. Thats 5 minutes they need to delete. I'm fine with editing, but editing Harpo's "Take Me Out To The Ball Game," was uncalled for. There was plenty of other small edits that could have been made.

Looks like I didn't miss much. I mean even that they have to cram with commercials. Honestly, who decided having more Commercials on shows was a good thing!!!!

I am sure they will be an unedited colorized version on dvd soon. I wish they'd release it on blu ray like the Dick Van Dyke Show was.
