I just thought a price comparison from 1962 to today's dollars would be interesting
40 cents for coffee $3.23 80 cents for soup $6.45 $18 for Wally's record player $145.13 {I thought Lumpy was always broke** $15 Ward's advance $120.94 |

Ward must have been a heavy hitter at his company with some expense account to take clients to lunch at the White Fox

He must have been...June once made a comment about Ward having a corner office, as opposed to Fred.

It's a brand spanking new place in town yet Ward says he takes clients there. Thanks for all the price comparisons. Wally only gave the waiter $1.87 and he was so suave.
Can you tell me what that $3500 sports car Beaver won would cost today? Also my great grandfather bought a New Hampshire farmhouse with 146 acres of mountain back in 1900 for $1000 what would that be worth today? |

Beaver won the car in 1960 so that would be $28814.56 in todays dollars. $1000 in 1900 is $292245.18 today

Remember the ep where Wally buys an orchid? I think he spends around $8 on that if I recall right. I guess that would be $64.50 now (since the $0.80 soup is now $6.45)?

Wow!! I believe an orchid was $7.50. Can you imagine a 14 year old ( Wally says he's 14 but looks 18) spending $64 on a silly girl for a dance.

Instead of making Ward get that orchid, June should have called that girl's mother and gave her what-for. Ward should have stood his ground.
