Default Five Guys

Mom and I have learned about a restaurant called Five Guys and I am just curious to find out more about it? Does Five Guys have good hamburgers and will Five Guys be worth eating at?

The one in my area has received very good reviews. The full name of the franchise is Five Guys Burgers & Fries, unless I'm mistaken.

Five Guys Good? As in the words of Tony the Tiger...

You can customize your burger even! I go with a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and pickles!

Five Guys lets you customize your own burger there? How exciting MrCleveland that a restaurant does that. When Mom and I were looking at the Five Guys menu we noticed that they have a type of french fries named Cajun Fries and i'm curious to know if you have had them at Five Guys?
Thank you very much for your reply MrCleveland

We had a Five Guys in our area for about 3 years. The place didn't do well for all it sold was hamburgers and fried and sodas. The inside was noisy, a lot of boom bang bang type music. I didn't think the hamburger was any better than a Mcdonalds and for $6-8 hamburger I was disappointed. The area people wanted more and this is all we had in that mall. The near by Market Basket Supermarket sold take out food as well so it was no loss.

Yeah, Five Guys is way better than both Jimmy John's and Sam's Club!

who gets take-out burgers from Sam's Club? - they're raw and still in the package - but I guess they do let you choose your own toppings, albeit in 5 gallon buckets.

I tried to take my 5-year-old nephew to Five Guys once, and he said "Nooooo - that's too many guys." (we have gone since then - I convinced him that some of the guys were on vacation that day.)

Five Guys is the only fast food place I go to. It's pretty good. I have a friend that used to own Burger King franchises and he told me to ask that they not flatten down the hamburgers with a grill press, which looks like an old time clothes iron. They refused, saying it was company policy, as well as only cooking well done. That being said, it's still pretty good. They also have good french fries cut fresh from Idaho potatoes, and they give you a tremendous portion. I only go about 5 or 10 times a year. They can't compete with Jackson Hole, though. But Jackson Hole is a real restaurant, not fast food.

I tried Five Guys today and I can honestly say that they have good food but I perfer Wendy's or Burger King burgers a lot better but I do agree that Five Guys is well worth a visit at least once. The fries are so huge and I cannot see how one person can finish one huge cup of fries but they tasted okay. I also heard that Five Guys has cups of their famous dry roasted peanuts but I didn't get any. Is it true that Five Guys gives out peanuts?
